Dear Parents and Carers,
We are very sorry to inform you that the school will be closed to all pupils tomorrow, Tuesday 3 November, due to an unexpected failure of the gas supply.
Unfortunately, this has left the entire school without heating or hot water, and our kitchen is also unable to operate.
Although we intend for repairs to be completed tomorrow, we cannot guarantee that essential services will be restored in time for the school to open safely.
We fully appreciate that this announcement comes at very short notice and that an unexpected school closure causes considerable inconvenience for families, particularly those who need to make alternative childcare arrangements or change their working plans. We are sincerely sorry for the disruption this will cause.
Please be assured that we have not taken this decision lightly. However, the safety and wellbeing of our pupils must be our first priority, and we do not feel it would be appropriate to open the school without these essential facilities.
We are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and fully intend to reopen on Wednesday 4 November, subject to the successful completion of repairs. We will keep you updated and confirm arrangements as soon as we are able.
Thank you for your understanding, patience and support. We are very sorry once again for the inconvenience caused by circumstances beyond our control.
Kind regards,
Johanna Bretayne
