Eco Board
Here is our journey as a school and an Earth Friends group to achieve the Eco Schools Green Flag Award.
Our Earth Friends meet on a Wednesday after school . They collaborate, discuss and share ideas on ways to make Pinner Wood more sustainable and greener. As a group, they complete an environmental review then put an action plan in place to support the school on their Eco-Schools journey. This plan will involve the school, staff, children, local community and other stakeholders we work with.
Environmental Review (2025 - 2026)
1) Need for more recycling outside
2) Helping people in the school understand how energy is used and can be saved
3) Working towards water saving stratergies and understanding why it is important to save water
4) Continue to support the biodiversity of our school
5) Promoting sustainable transport to school and the school community
Action Plan (2025 - 2026)
1) Continue our active travel journey as a school and continue to promote and build confidence in active travel
2) Create links through Global Citizenship with businesses, organisations and charities
3) Continue to monitor and action our energy, waste and waste emissions
